備忘録で、仮想サーバにしたRHEL4でRHNに接続できないので問い合わせしたところ
「必要パッケージのバージョンが古過ぎて、仮想サーバではなく物理サーバと誤認してしまい
そのため、(物理サーバの)サブスクリプション不足で接続できないのではないか」
という回答がありました。
具体的には、下記要件を満たす必要があるそうです
・up2dateのバージョンが4.9.0以上
※RHEL4 32bitの場合、2012/8/15現在はup2date-4.9.1-30.el4.i386.rpmが公開されてます
・up2date-gnomeのバージョンが4.9.0以上(インストールしている場合)
※RHEL4 32bitの場合、2012/8/15現在はup2date-gnome-4.9.1-30.el4.i386.rpmが公開されてます
ってえことで、上記パッケージをブラウザでRHNからダウンロードし、rpmコマンドでインストールしたところ
問題なくRHNに接続できるようになりました。
一応、下記にエラー時の画面を載せておきます。ハードウェアの保守切れとかでPtoVしたは良いけど
仮想サーバ用のサブスクリプションはあるのにRHNに接続できない場合、上記を試してみてください。
